application forms from our website. Candidate

UK recruitment consultants.
Clyde
Marine Recruitment - UK
Our
two UK offices recruit seafarers for temporary and permanent
vacancies, and crew manage seafarers on behalf of P&O, BP and
Louis Dreyfus Lines. These offices, located at each end of the UK,
serve different client requirements for personnel. Glasgow
predominantly manages the recruitment for UK ferry operators and the
North Sea offshore sector. Southampton mainly recruits for Dredging
companies and manages Onboard Services personnel for some passenger
vessels. However, both offices work together on filling vacancies.
We share the same database so you only register once, but can be
considered for jobs through either office.

It might surprise you to learn that there are actually quite a number of shore based jobs available just now for people with maritime experience. The jobs are still based in the maritime sector and most are permanent positions based in both the UK and abroad. People chose to work ashore for a variety of reasons, sometimes family commitments and sometimes simply because they want a new challenge. Whatever the reasons many of the skills used on board are transferable and are currently in demand ashore. Positions such as Technical Superintendants, Marine Superintendants, Ship Managers, Operations Managers and Nautical Lecturers are all jobs that require candidates to have nautical sea-going experience.
We’ve a number of these positions available just now and if you are interested in transferring your skills now is a good time to get in touch.

We recently visited Bulgaria to conduct interviews and
judge the standard of applicant available; it was generally excellent. Bulgaria has a
strong maritime history and Bulgarians crew all over the world. Working right
across the marine sector Bulgarians are found in roro, cruise ships and
conventional cargo vessels. All hold basic safety certificates such as PST,
PSSR, Fire Fighting and First Aid and many hold crowd management certificates
too. Their English is generally excellent and as they have experience at
sea they will be a great resource for our clients to tap into when
required.
